Valladolid Foundation

Helping others through their times of need

Who We Are

The Valladolid Foundation is named after its founder, J. Gabriel Valladolid. Gabriel was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He first came to California in 2003, after going through a divorce due to his drug and alcohol issues. He was homeless. He was finding his meals in garbage cans and sleeping on the streets of Fresno, CA. That was until a good Samaritan recommended that he attend a rehabilitation program. Gabriel attended that program for a year and ever since, he has dedicated his free time and energy to helping people in need. In 2013, Gabriel began taking food, blankets, and clothes to people who were homeless. He and his goddaughter began offering hot meals to the homeless, walking blocks offering the meals to anyone who needed it. Since 2013, Gabriel has been providing as much as he can to the homeless community on his own and along the way he has met fellow volunteers who have joined him in his efforts.

Gabriel has personally faced homelessness and drug addiction. He was able to find the help he needed and was able to turn his life around. He founded the Valladolid Foundation to provide resources and services he was afforded when he was in need for others to rely on during their times of need.

Our MISSION

Providing resources to memebrs of our community

The Valladolid Foundation continues the good deeds its founder started back in 2013.

The Valladolid Foundation was founded to address an ever growing issue not only found in Fresno County, but one that has plaugued California for years and has seen an immense increase across the nation: Homelessness. The Foundation has set out plans of how to address this issue.  To the right, you will see parts of the plan that have already been set in motion, with many great projects planned for the future.

— Assisting the Homeless & Needy

The keystone of the Valladolid Foundation is the continued assistance provided to those who are homeless and in need in Fresno County, by providing meals, necessities, and resources.

— Casa de Sobriedad 5to Capitulo

Casa de Sobriedad 5to Capitulo is the foundation's first sober living home. The home was founded to help Spanish speaking men address a common factor leading to homelessness, and that is drug and alcohol addiction.
